Marguerite Route

The Marguerite Route is the official tourist route from Denmark. The 3000 kilometer route runs along more than 200 sights and attractions. Ballum Camping is located on this route. Ideal for an overnight stay.

Legoland® and Lego House®

Legoland® is a fantastic playground and amusement park with more than 50 attractions for you and your children. Located in Billund, only 90 minutes by car from Ballum Camping.

Wadden Sea National Park

Highlights: Rudbøl nature reserve on the border between Denmark and Germany, Sort Sol (black sun), bird watching, sea eagles, mudflat hiking, oyster and mussels search, Mandø, seal spotting, Vadehavscentret. See also Wadden Sea National Park.

Sort Sol (Black Sun)

The natural phenomenon ´black sun´, when huge flocks of starlings shape-drift and dance at the evening sky, can be experienced in several places near the Wadden Sea in spring and autumn. See more

Rømø, Mandø and Sylt (Wadden Sea islands)

The island Rømø is accessible through a 10 km long dam, only 20 minutes by car from Ballum Camping. Rømø has a wide beach ideal for sports such as surfing, beach sailing and dragon flies. You drive with your car on the beach! The island has lots of woods for walking with your dog. From the harbor the ferry sails to Sylt in 45 minutes. The smaller Wadden island of Mandø is located north of Rømø and can only be reached at low tide by car or tractor bus.

Ballum/Bredebro

Visit the museum mills or the romantic ruins of the castle Trøjborg from the 13th century. Go fishing in the ponds of Visby Fiskesø or go canoeing on the Broad A from Løgumkloster to Ballum. In Ballum there is a soccer golfcourse or you can visit Papegojeland. You can also hiking through the Wadden Sea region led by a guide, Fierljeppen.

Skærbæk

Karting at the outdoor track and swimming in the indoor water park. Or climb the Marsk tower with a view over the Marsken. In Skærbæk you will also find 4 supermarkets.

Only 15 minutes by car from Ballum Camping.

Ribe

Experience the Vikings in Ribe Viking Center, go for a walk through the charming old streets and alleys, climb the church tower or drive with the Mandø Bus. Ribe is always worth a trip.

Højer

Visit Højer's museum and mill. Look at the Wadden Sea how the Vidåslusen regulates the incoming and outgoing water. On top of the lock you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Wadden Sea and Margrethe Kog. Only 10 minutes by car from Ballum Camping.

Tønder

Whether it are the many manor houses, the varied shops or visiting one of the many museums (there is even a Zeppelin Museum): the capital of the Marsch is always worth a visit.

Only 25 minutes by car from Ballum Camping.

Fishing

You can fish in the river Brede A, various fishing lakes and the North Sea. For this you need a fishing license that you can buy online.
