About Ballum Camping
Ballum Camping is located near the Wadden Sea National Park. Here you will find a lot of peace, space and nature. The 7.5 hectare site - 310 m long and 240 m wide - consists of
4 fields separated by hedges and trees. That gives a cozy atmosphere. There are 164 campsites and 16 separate motorhome pitches. You can completely relax on your spacious pitch. Enjoy the silence, listen to the wind rustle in the trees and wake up in the morning to the song of the birds. Get your freshly baked rolls from the camping kiosk and make plans for the new day. You can go cycling or walking in the area on the many hiking trails that start directly from the campsite. Even in high season you can walk for hours through the fields and along the Wadden Sea without meeting anyone. Breathe in the clean and fresh air. Experience the long summer days, enjoy the beautiful sunset, look at the many stars at night in the real dark. Do you want to take a cultural trip? Then visit for example Ribe, Tønder, Møgeltønder or Løgumkloster, a Viking or art museum or the visitor center of the national park. And don't forget: Legoland. Or go to the Wadden island of Mandø and admire the many birds and the seal colony. In the spring and autumn you can see the fantastic natural phenomenon "Black Sun".
Do you prefer sporty activities? There are several golf courses and swimming pools in the area, you can fish in the Brede Å, (kite) surfing, sand yachting, horseback riding, hiking and cycling on the Wadden island of Rømø with the widest
sandy beach in Europe, the beach is also accessible by car! Back at the campsite, you can enjoy a glass of wine after your fantastic day. You can already order a delicious pizza at the kiosk, so you don't have to cook later. At the campsite, your children can have fun in the playground or on the playing field. Bring a kite! There is a bouncy, table football table and table tennis table and they can ride around on the bicycles and gokarts. Everything is free! There is no animation team and no swimming pool. The sanitary buildings are fully equipped, there is a large kitchen with dish washers, 2 washing machines and 1 dryer, a living room and a lounge.
Your dog is also very welcome. There is a fenced playing field where you can play with your dog and a dog swimming pond. The hiking trails start right outside the campsite where you can walk your dog.
