About us

Since December 2016 we, Klaas and Linda de Weerd, have been the new owners of Ballum Camping. We have the Dutch nationality and welcome our guests in the Dutch, German, English, French and soon also in the Danish language.

After a turbulent time in the Netherlands, last

12 years we have run our own business with 40 employees, we have decided to change course. Stress and traffic jams gave mainly rise to this decision. We are avid campers and the outdoors has always attracted us. After some searching on the internet for a suitable campsite for our summer holidays we found Ballum Camping, a campsite which was also for sale!

Coincidence? With our mobile home we camped there for a week, met the owners and discoverd the environment. We were sold! Within a few months, everything was settled and we left for Denmark with our dogs.

In the meantime we have done a lot of investments and a lot of improvements have been made.

This all without losing our vision: "stillness, space and nature."
